FAQ

How do I know if therapy with you is right for me?
If you struggle with anxiety, ADHD, depression, feeling stuck, or navigating life as a highly sensitive or neurodivergent person, my approach may be a good fit. I use a combination of somatic, mindfulness, and nature-based therapies to help you feel more connected to yourself and your path. If you’re unsure, I offer a free 15-minute consultation to see if we’re a good match.
-
Do you take insurance?
I am an out-of-network provider, meaning I do not bill insurance directly. However, I can provide superbills for reimbursement if your insurance plan offers out-of-network benefits. I also offer sliding scale based on need and availability in my practice.
-
What can I expect in a session?
Sessions are collaborative and tailored to your needs. We may explore emotions, nervous system regulation, thought patterns, or somatic (body-based) experiences. I provide a grounding, compassionate space where we move at your pace—there’s no one-size-fits-all approach.
-
How long does therapy take to work?
Healing isn’t linear, and there’s no set timeline. Some people find meaningful shifts in a few months, while others benefit from longer-term support. My goal is to help you develop the tools and self-trust needed to feel more aligned in your life.
-
What if I don’t know what I need help with?
That’s completely okay. Many people start therapy feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or lost. Together, we’ll explore what’s showing up for you and uncover what feels most important to focus on. Therapy isn’t about having all the answers—it’s about giving yourself space to discover them.

How often do we meet, and for how long?
Sessions are typically 50 minutes long and scheduled weekly or biweekly, depending on your needs and availability. Some clients prefer short-term, goal-focused work, while others engage in longer-term support. I offer in person or nature based/walking sessions near Tahoe City or we can connect virtually.
